What Mission School is all about Introduction to Mission Schools

ABOUT THE CEO
He is a publisher, writer, an entrepreneur and a minister of the gospel of many years. He's also a graduate from The Writing School of London, the institution for training Journalists and Writers.
According to him, the purpose of publishing the National Christian Directory is to provide an easy to use portal for Christians and unbelievers who are genuinely searching for a right information in the Christian community.
This idea as he said, was borne out of the fruitless struggles he and many other christians has been encountering over the years to connect with other christians in other clan for business deal or preaching engagement.
After several research and seeking God's face, he discovered it will be highly valuable if there should be a comprehensive data base for every christian in respective of the denomination and location. Because he believe it will not only benefits leaders in the body of Christ but every other person who is in need of useful information within christendom.
The Directory is categorized into 13 major Sections, viz: Church; Ministries; Bible College/University; Mission Schools; Counseling; Welfare; Christian Media; Ngos; Businesses; Christian Resource Centers; Accommodation & Camps; Christian Events and Personality profiles.
The works in the Directory are going to be progressive. The project will include several useful and valuable data with time.
Because the plan is to provide materials that will become valuable reference point for pastors, church leaders, ministers, students, counsellors, teachers, researchers, business men and women. And by the grace of God there will always be regular updates of the contact information when the need arises.
Shalom!

Lord, We Need Revival To Defeat Mammon In Today's Church
By Dr. Segun ‘Tremendous’ Oshinaga.
“But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money! You have neither part nor portion in this matter, FOR YOUR HEART IS NOT RIGHT IN THE SIGHT OF GOD.”
Acts 8:20-21 (NKJV)
Until the Church in Africa, nay Nigeria can possibly have this ‘Peter Attitude’ towards money, we are on a long thing.
Truth be told, the corruption within the Pentecostal body in Nigeria today is unprecedented. But it didn’t start today.
The seeds of this corruption was laid more than 30 years ago but we have seen it acquire a ‘larger - than - life’ image in the last 15,10 years.
If we are not careful and unless the Lord of the harvest intervenes, we have not seen the end of it. Celebrity Pastor/Bishop/Apostle is the desire of many and they don’t lack for models. Everybody is now a Bishop or Archbishop.
Lately, we are seeing some calling themselves Cardinals. I know, at least three. When the Cardinal space gets crowded, as I’m sure it will be soon, we will start having Popes. Pentecostal Popes! We will rival the Catholic Church in all her glory.
This craze for ‘titles and treasures’ is only a symptom of a deeper and serious malaise - emptiness of the spirit and the increasing need to fill the void with a bang.
Simon the Sorcerer is running wild across African countries. As I travel through West, South and East Africa in the last one year, it became clear to me that the ‘god’ called greed is running riot through the Church.
We erroneously call it revival. No sir! No mam! This is not revival. Men of God are competing with celebrities and politicians on who is wealthier or more popular. It’s only proof the decay and rot in the body of Christ is deeper than we know.
What is worse is that, many of our preachers now dabble in the occult. Many are known to belong to secret cults, Freemasonry and others.
No wonder their ‘results’ are flashy. I call them ‘Pentecostal Babalawos’. The ‘rituals’ that some perform give them away. It takes deep discernment to figure them out. Their ‘Pentecostal legalese’ deceive some ‘Very Elect.’
We can bury our heads in the sand but it’s an open secret that we stink to the high heavens. It’s time to repent and get back to serving God in ‘spirit and truth.’
The missionaries who brought schools and health centers to Africa at the turn of the century literally gave their lives to educate our parents. It was the ‘gospel of sacrifice’ that gave us this ‘heritage of faith’ that we now desecrate with lasciviousness and insatiable greed for materialism. They were rich because they made many rich. Today, our religious celebrities are rich by making many poor.
Our religious elites have become indistinguishable from our political elites. Same spirit of greed is discern able from the two classes. We have therefore raised a generation of ‘needy’ believers whose hunger is for material blessings and success. They have been raised on a diet of prosperity gospel.
Our Pentecostal leaders need to read this again and and again
“So, my son, throw yourself into this work for Christ. Pass on what you heard from me—the whole congregation saying Amen!—to reliable leaders who are competent to teach others.
When the going gets rough, take it on the chin with the rest of us, the way Jesus did. A soldier on duty doesn’t get caught up in making deals at the marketplace. He concentrates on carrying out orders. An athlete who refuses to play by the rules will never get anywhere. It’s the diligent farmer who gets the produce. Think it over. God will make it all plain.” 2 Timothy 2:1-7 (MSG)

Church Celebrities Versus The Gospel of Salvation.
By Ninyo Omidiji
I am not a fan of any celebrity religious leader. I am not, because I do not believe that Jesus went to the cross for you and I in order to make celebrities of us.
Check out His life and ministry and that of His apostles and you will not see anything suggesting that they promoted a celebrity lifestyle. No doubts they were impactful in their own ways but they weren't celebrities. You don't have to be a celebrity to live a life of impact.
Strictly speaking, a celebrity is someone who is famous in the entertainment business. A celebrity is loved by the world because the world loves entertainment. In other words, unless a preacher has turned to an entertainer of some sort, it is unlikely he turns out a celebrity. The word "celebrity-preacher" in itself is self-contradictory.
Friends, being a celebrity is the way of the world, not the way of the kingdom. The lot or the portion of the believer in Christ is to be hated and persecuted by the world around them. This has not changed. This will never change.
Jesus said:
Matthew 24:9 NKJV
[9] “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
Jesus was not a celebrity. But the present-day church system preaches and promotes a celebrity Jesus. They preach another Jesus. This is why the gospel that they preach is alien to what the early church preached.
Jesus was self-confessed that the world hated Him. While He was preparing His disciples for things to come, in John 15:18-20 NKJV, Jesus said to them:
[18] “If the world hates you, you know that IT HATED ME before it hated you. [19] If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. [20] Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
But nowadays, we have young preachers whose vested interest in ministry is to become famous and wealthy. They want to become celebrities. They use their pulpits to promote this ambition. They sell the same idea to their listeners.
And from where did they get this notion? It's from the people that they call faithers-in-the-faith. These so-called fathers have modelled wealth, fame and the celebrity lifestyle as rewards of their ministry and these young preachers are hooked like someone who is hooked on hard drúgs.
This is why I am convinced that one of the biggest Satanic onslaughts against the church is the wide acceptance of what is considered the "prosperity gospel" into her fold. It is the biggest promoter of the lust for fame, power and wealth among churchgoers. It is the undercover operation of the spirit of the world inside what is called the church of today. Satan knew it would be tough to drag the church into the world so he deceptively dragged the world into the church and got zealots to promote it.
When Satan came to tempt Jesus, he showed Him all the glories of this world and promised to give them to Him if only Jesus would bow to him. But what Jesus rejected from satan has become what preachers promote today. Can't you see it?
In one of his epistles, John wrote:
I John 2:15-16 NKJV
[15] Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world."
Friends, I am convinced that no celebrity preacher is serving Christ. He is serving his lust and he is polluting and corrupting the lives of the younger generation and weakening their genuine faith in the Lord.
No genuine servant of Christ will use the promise of the glories of this world as the reason to come to God through Christ Jesus. No genuine servant of God will bait you with the promise of fame and wealth.
I will keep harping on this same thing, as I have done for a couple of years, in hopes that one or two persons who are "in the valley of decision, as I was years ago, will read and get delivered from the trap and deception of satan that is carefully camouflaged as church of today. *****************************************

Any Gospel That Promise You Problem Free-Life Is A Fraud
By Dr Abel Damina.
Christianity does not guarantee a problem free life. If all the church does is to solve problems, then the church is another shrine because the only reason people go to the shrine is to solve problems.
We don't come to church to solve problems. Why do we come to church? We come to church to know Christ. Paul said when I come among you, I desire to know nothing except Christ and him crucified for the Preaching of the cross to those that perish is foolishness but onto us is the power of God.
We don't come to church to solve problems, we come to church to know Christ.
35 years after brother Paul has been Preaching the gospel, he had one prayer, that I may know him and the power of his resurrection.
5 Types of Lies Pastors Tell Members on Faith
Any gospel that promises you a problem free life is a fraud. Because sometimes you hear preachers saying, come to Jesus, your problem will be finished, come to Jesus everything will be okay. It's a lie.
Infact when you come to Jesus, your problem will increase. You know why?
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth them out of it all. In the world you shall have tribulations but be of good cheers, I have overcome.
So in Christ you will have problems but you have the power to overcome. So if you are going through a problem, it's not because you are a sinner.
It's because it is common to man. Everyman goes through problems but the consolation is that in the midst of that problem, the power to overcome is on your inside.
Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world over our problems.
The word of God says when you go through the fire, so you will go through fire. So there are times you will go through the fire he said I will be with you in the fire.
When you go through the water, I will be with you in the water.
Christianity does not guarantee a problem free life so that's why we don't come to church to solve problems, we come to church to know Christ.
For they that know their God, they shall be strong and they shall do exploits.

Your Gift Brings You Gifts
By Dr. Segun Tremendous Oshinaga.
Your gift is your principal tool for making contributions to your world. You neglect your gift and you have neglected your destiny. If you improve your gift, your destiny is improved also.
The quality of your gift will determine the quality of your service to the world. “A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.”Proverbs 18:16 NKJV.
Your gift holds the key to your gifts in life. Your promotion, possessions and progress are all locked up in your gift. As your gift touches and blesses other lives, they will enrich you with gifts.
Each man/woman is a rich deposit of blessings. The blessing that you become is proportionate to the development of your gift. The responsibility for adding value to our gifts lies entirely in our hands.
What God has deposited in each of us are raw gifts. Just the same way He deposits unrefined gold in the cavities of the earth. Doesn’t it amaze you that the earth has always carried a large pool of gas and oil? These were of no value to any one until man discovered the technology to extract and use it.
Oil was discovered in Nigeria in Oloibiri in the Niger Delta in 1958. But that was not the year that God hid oil in our land. Our forefathers lived and died in penury, not because the land was not rich in minerals but because they had no means to extract and use it.
“One well cultivated talent, deepened and enlarged, is worth one hundred shallow faculties.” says William Matthews.
There is an ‘acre of diamonds’ in every man but without the tools and skills to extract it, he might as well die a pauper. God will neither dig it nor refine it for us. It is our responsibility to make the most of what God has given to us.
Myles Munroe rocked my world when I read his book on 'Potential'. In that book, he said one of the most profound things ever said - "The richest places on earth are not the diamond mines in Jo'burg, Saudi Arabia or Russia but cemeteries. For there are buried gifts never used, riches never known and wisdom never spoken." I have improvised because I can't remember his exact words again but that is the thrust of his quote. That just blew me away.
I remember meeting him in Tokyo, Japan in 1998 and spending a few days together in the same hotel as guests of our mutual friend, Rev. Sylvester White. I could not but thank him profusely and repeatedly for his profound revelation.
“One principal reason why men are so often useless is that they neglect their own profession or calling and divide and shift their attention among a multitude of objects and pursuits.” says Nathaniel Emmons.
Many just don't explore and dig out enough of the profound treasures imbedded in themselves.
I say it often enough - your MIND is your MINE. It's like each person has his own private oil deposit or as we commonly call it in Nigeria - oil block. Each man/woman is a Mobil or Chevron, Texaco. It is therefore a shame for anyone to die in penury. It is inexcusable, totally unnecessary.
Let me close with these words: Find your gift, Train your gift, Use your gift, The more you use your gift, the more it becomes, the better it is and the greater your impact in the word.

How To Overcome The Difficulties Of Raising Money For Your Church Project
The work of the ministry is not bread and butter like some pastors want people to believe. What most of them goes through to build their churches is far more than what can be imagined. At one point raising fund for a particular project can be so difficult to an extent of asking if God is really involved in the business.
But God has promise to build His church whether the devil like it or not.
When it becomes very difficult to get the kind of fund for a particular project the pastor can mobilize the committee members to take the following steps.
1. Pray and fast. The church needs to seek more of God's guidance and provisions. It's not the time to be in wishful thinking; it's the time for spiritual engagement. Jesus sad "ask anything in my name" and God will do it for you.
2. Re-evaluate the project's scope. It's not that you are not sure about the completion of the project, you are only being realistic of making things work out. Adjust the project's scale or timeline to make it more manageable.
Why is the church broke financially
3. Communicate with the congregation. Don't keep the project plan to yourself alone, share the vision, needs, and challenges with the church family.
4. Raise special offerings. You are not wrong if you take up special offerings or designate specific Sundays for project funding; it's all part of solving the problem.
5. Initiate Fundraising events. Organize concerts, auctions, open sales, or other events to raise funds.
6. Extend your invitation for assistance to other christian organisations. Or possibly go into partnership to receive grants. Its allowed as long as you are doing this within the body of Christ.
7. Seek for Fund online. Yes, that's what its called 'Crowdfunding'. There are platforms you can utilize to raise fund from people for church project. like GoFundMe or Kickstarter.
8. Sell off some church assets. Consider selling unused or underutilized church properties or assets to add more fund for the project.
9. Consider the possibility of obtaining loans from recognized christian financial institutions. (This option however, depends on what your church believes).
10. Seek professional help. Consult with a financial advisor or a church growth expert.
As events start falling into pleasant places for you, show act of gratitude to the donors and supporters. Ensure the funds are also used transparently and accountably.

10 Type of Fellow Christians You Must Avoid If You Want To Be Happy With Yourself
By Dave Omokhodion.
God encourages us to love one another as christians. We are to love each other in respective of the gender, social status, tribe, denomination or tongue. By doing this, the Bible says that the world will know that we are one in Christ. 1 Thessalonians 4:9, Hebrew 13:1
However there are certain christians among us who are difficult to relate with. They are brethren, quite alright. But they have certain attitudes that everyone should be careful about.
They could be every good thing you can think of in the church; good singers, nice Sunday school teachers, dedicated ushers, good in evangelism and several other activities.
But their behavioral attitudes are nothing to talk about. As genuinely saved christian, you have to be very careful with them or else you will be having issues regularly.
These set of believers are as follows:
1. Christians who are quick to judge or condemn fellow christians over an issue even before hearing or knowing exactly what happened. They are rumours carriers.
2. Christians who don't believe you're both equal before God just because of disparity in social status, educational background or ethnicity. If you're not in their class, you're never a real christian.
3. Christians who always disrespect fellow christians because they feels they are better off financially and spiritually. The opinions of others are always secondary as far as they are concerned.
4. Christians who easily feels happy by belittling or making mockery of fellow christians. They always see themselves as the best among others.
5. Christians who are ungrateful. No matter how much you do, it is never good enough for them.
6. Christians who are inconsistent in what they tells you. Their words and actions never go hand in hand.
7. Christians who are always full of pride, braging about themselves, their families, their jobs or businesses. They use every available conversation to show why you should see them better than you.
8. Christians who don't have empathy towards other fellow believers. They don't know how to be of help to the needy even when they have more than enough to give.
9. Christians who reach out to you only when they need something, not when you need them. As far as they are concerned you are not in existent except they need help from you.
10. Christians who always exaggerate over everything they have or acquired. If they have one thing they will tell you it's more than one. They lies expressly.
All these types of Christians doesn't add value to ones faith, rather they poison the faith of other. And if you don't avoid them you might end up having issues with them on regular occasion.

What to Do When You are Getting 'Broke' Financially
By Dave Omokhodion
Everyone always have financial challenges at certain period of time. It might not be as serious as to some people. And what could be termed as 'broke' might not mean the same thing to everyone.
Notheless, not having money to do what someone want to do at a particular time can be referred to as being broke or short of money. The situation can be so painful.
Sometimes it could be avoided if you plan ahead of it. But in a situation where it can not be helped there are ways you can handle the situation.
1. Recognize and assess the situation on time. Don't be mad at yourself. Take stock of your income, the expenses you are making , the debts on your table, and savings you have, if any all.
2. Consider those essential expenses you can attend to like rent, utilities and food, and focus solving them.
3. Cut down your expenses. Reduce non-essential spending, cancel subscriptions, and negotiate bills.
4. Seek assistance. If possible reach out to local non-profits organisations, churches, or government agencies for help.
5. Sell off those unuseful items in your possession to generate cash. They can be anything, ranging from electronics, clothes or household items.
6. Don't rely only on your regular income, consider a side hustle too. Explore part-time job or engage in buying and selling.
7. Always communicate well with your creditors. Explain your situation and negotiate payment plans or temporary relief.
8. Find a way to manage debt repayment. Focus on high-interest debts first, like those from microfinance banks, online loans companies and individual money lenders.
9. Try to build an emergency fund. You can be setting apart some money to address unexpected expenses.
10. Stay positive and patient. Carry a winning attitude outlook.
Remember, being broke is a temporary situation. By taking proactive steps and seeking help when needed, you can work towards financial stability and recovery.

What you should know about Debt as a Christian and how to handle it.
Anybody can go borrowing. There are times as a person when we have some expenses to make and the finance is not available. The next option could be to borrow, whether as a Christian or unbeliever.
There are several advantages of borrowing money. And there are several disadvantages too.
* One of the advantages, first of all, is that it calm down your tension regarding the issue you are having at hand. If the money you borrowed is enough to solve the problem you become relief and get merrier.
* The second advantage is that it takes away shame from your face. You nolonger feel that your situation is worst than every other person's own. You can go about your activities with ease.
* And the third advantage is that it momentarily allow you to focus on standing on your feet again. With better plan, you are able to bounce back and recover what you have lost.
However, there are some disadvantages of borrowing money to solve problems. No matter how you view it, it can not clean off these facts.
* One, you have become a 'slave' to your creditor. You consciously or unconsciously signed up the deal. And he is at liberty to tell you what he wants and how to get back his money.
* Two, everything you are doing financially is tied round on paying back your debt. Even if you are in a pay job or still investing in your business you are daily conscious about it.
* Three, you don't have the liberty to spend your money freely for fear of being noticed by your creditor. He might not be around you but the wall have ears.
* And fourthly, in terms of the inability to pay back the loan, your problem becomes double.
There are several stories of people whether christian or unbeliever who have been badly affected as a result of loan. They never imagine the situation will go the other way. As the creditor come asking for his money the blood pressure shoot up and eventually lead to heart failure or stroke.
As a Christian there are some ways we need to apply when deciding to borrow or have borrowed loan, in order to avoid heartbreak or failure. It doesn't matter whether the loan is from an individual, club, association, church, microfinance or bank.
First and foremost, seek God's directive. Remember God promises to guide your heart in the way you should go. Pray concerning the plan, Prov. 16:3. Don't be lured into it by somebody or any circumstance.
Two, don't borrow more than what you can repay. Understand that it is better to chew what you can shallow rather than allowing it to hang in your throat.
Three, seek peace and understanding with your creditor. As long as it takes you to settle the debt, you must know for sure that you're a slave to your creditor and therefore must be in good terms with him Matthew 18:27.
Four, don't run away from your debt. Remember you are not the first to owe or be in debt. Control your action and emotion. Your creditor can not just kill you for owing, knowing fully well that your death will not recover his money.
Five, pray for favour. Avoid the temptation of borrowing to pay your creditor, rather seek for favour from God. He can bring people who can assist you freely. Isaiah 41:10.
Six, if you know you don't have the courage to borrow don't try it. Channel your thoughts to other directions, like asking seriously for help from your local church, club, association, colleagues, relatives and good friends. And even if nothing still happen, don't cross the line, stay positive because miracles still happens, 2 King 4:7
In conclusion, try to avoid loan embarrassment as a Christian. Don't put God in a hot seat by borrowing loan to do wedding, burial, naming ceremony or graduation. If you can't take the pain, sew your clothes according to your size.
