Disagreement is normal in the Kingdom of God. What is abnormal is envy, rebellion, stubbornness, bitterness, dishonour and pride because rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, stubbornness is as idolatry and pride goeth before a fall.
One of the strongest examples of fatherhood and sonship in the Kingdom today is between Daddy G. O and Bishop Oyedepo and I have also said that it is because of their laid down examples that many 'RCCG and LFC' members are not at loggerheads today like the disciples of Jesus and John the Baptist. However you may be surprised that there are major areas of doctrinal disagreement between them... Yet they have never broken ranks.
RCCG believes that anyone that divorces and remarries will go to hell. LFC does not exactly agree with that according to the Mandate.
RCCG believes in taking loan to build churches, they have over 45,000 branches today. LFC does not believe that and states that clearly also and have over 22,000 churches to show. I can go on and on with the example of these 2 brotherly churches.
Let's not restrict it to both of them.
From the Bible and History there have been myriads of cases of doctrinal differences
Peter disagreed with Jesus
Paul disagreed with Peter.
Barnabas disagreed with Paul.
Many years later, Martin Luther disagreed with the Pope and we have the Lutheran Church.
The Anglican Church also came out Catholic Church
Methodist came out of Anglican.
TAC Nigeria came out of Anglican
CAC took its name after infighting in TAC.
WOSEM came out of CAC..
Let's continue.
William Seymour disagreed with Parnham
Florence Crawford disagreed with Seymour and established AFC
Bro T Oshokoya was trained by Crawford and many years later in Nigeria, Bro Kumuyi disagreed with Oshokoya and established Deeper Life (People don't even know that Bro Kumuyi still went to see Bro Oshokoya for restitution)
Interestingly, by 1981, some 8 years after Kumuyi left AFC, Deeper Life had about 8000 people at its retreat while AFC had 8,050 at Anthony Village. Kumuyi never insulted him.
Ayo Oritsejafor disagreed with Idahosa
Tony Rapu disagreed with Pastor Adeboye
Tunde Bakare, Simeon Afolabi and Dayo Olutayo disagreed with Bishop Oyedepo
AFC believes in tithes and offerings but no offering basket.
RCCG and LFC didn't use offering baskets at inception but now do and they believe in tithe and offering.
Now someone said though Malachi talks about tithe and offering, they can remove the Tithe but leave the Offering, he will still collect. Fine!
The examples are unending
Suddenly a few years ago, Sunday Adelaja laid the foundation of insults in disagreement. It was shortlived as he lost his ministry in Ukraine.
Then of recent, someone else began to feel hollow due to his deeds then went to one mountain and came back with new knowledge of insult to the elders...
I am of the opinion that his knowledge is mostly unscriptural... But let's assume without conceding that he is even right, is that how to correct those before you?
Is Pastor Adeboye not old enough to be your father?
Is Daddy Kumuyi your mate?
Is Oyedepo your younger brother?
Are they not elders?
Is that how the Bible asked you to talk to elders as quoted in the scripture above?
Are you not aware that even though you no more believe in the tithe, every other single seed you are sowing now, money or otherwise, you will reap?
I weep because you arr breaking a very basic law of life without realizing.
Nobody is asking you not to disagree (even if you are obviously wrong) but this honour you don't want to render can only lead you to reap the kind of dishonour you can never ever imagine in your lifetime...starting from those who seem to be hailing you to destruction in the name of 'he is teaching good'. . .
Yorubas in Nigeria have a saying about the dog who no longer listens to the whistle of his master the hunter.
I leave you with the scripture below...
Proverbs 1:5, 7b
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
...but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
