DREAMS ARE ACTIONABLE
By Dr. Segun ‘Tremendous’ Oshinaga
The secret to making things happen is to first dream them. You cannot work out what you have not dreamed of. Work is the factory and laboratory for dreams. It is the dream that supplies the passion, energy and stimuli for the works. “All men dream, but not equally.
"Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.” T.E. Lawrence.
A man or woman with a dream backed with purpose, focus and vision is a dangerous man or woman. The proof of the validity of a dream is the readiness to back it up with passion, hard work and commitment.
Strategies needed to grow a new ministry
A dream you are not willing to back up with hard work is what the dictionary calls – day dream or fantasy. It’s a dream because you are willing and ready to go to work on it. Through thick or thin, hard and tough, your hands are on the plough and your legs are trudging the dusty lanes of life in search of opportunities.
“And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.” Genesis 37:19. A dreamer does not fold his hands or hang his feet but is always 'cometh.’ It is no accident that the word – ‘business’ is barely different from ‘busyness.’ You can’t be in business if it doesn’t make you tough. Your hands are on the plough and your legs are trudging the dusty lanes of life in search of opportunities.
You can’t be in business if it doesn’t make you busy. So whatever the challenges you encounter on the way to fulfilling your dream, ‘dream yet another dream.’ Whatever you do, don’t stop dreaming and working your dream.
