Church membership data according to their denomination in Nigeria

Here is an approximate numerical statistics of churches in Nigeria. The Catholic Organisation reportedly has the largest congregation.

1. *Catholic Church.  25-30 million (approximately 15-20% of the population)

2. *Anglican Church. 18-20 million (approximately 10-12% of the population)

3. *Pentecostal Churches. (including:

    - Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG): 5-7 million

    - Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel): 3-5 million

    - Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM): 2-3 million

    - Others: 5-10 million)

Total: 15-25 million (approximately 8-15% of the population)

4. *Evangelical Churches. (including:

    - Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA): 2-3 million

    - Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRCN): 1-2 million

    - Others: 2-5 million)

Total: 5-10 million (approximately 3-6% of the population)

5. *Methodist Church. 2-3 million (approximately 1-2% of the population)

6. *Baptist Church. 1-2 million (approximately 0.5-1% of the population)

7. *Other Christian Denominations ( including Celestial Church, Cherubim & Seraphim). 5-10 million (approximately 3-6% of the population).

Though these numbers are estimates and may vary depending on the source, the church in general has a close figure of over 100 million membership because christianity is one of the dominant religion in Nigeria.

According to research, Islam has about 80-100 million (approximately 45-55% of the population) while Traditional Religions has about 10-20 million (approximately 5-10% of the population)
